‘Make me a willow cabin at your gate,
And call upon my soul within the house;
Write loyal cantons of contemned love
And sing them loud even in the dead of night;
Halloo your name to the reverberate hills
And make the babbling gossip of the air
Cry out ‘Olivia!’ O, You should not rest
Between the elements of air and earth,
But you should pity me!’
William Shakespeare

Once upon a time there was a fish called John and he was very happy swimming along. And one day he saw lots of other fish and they were swimming the other way. And he waved and said ‘Hi’ and they said ‘Hi John’. Now the next day he saw them; and the next and the next ; and one day he thought well maybe I will try and swim their way. So he turned around and followed them.
But the water felt cold and he wasn’t happy and day by day as he went with them he got sadder and sadder. The one day he saw the most beautiful fish he had ever seen. She was a lovely aquamarine color and he so he waved at her but she didn’t see him and she swam right past him because she was swimming the other way. So he turned around and swam very fast to catch up with her. He said ‘Hi’ and she said ‘Hi’ and they swam off in the same direction, the other way and they lived happily ever after.

Recently I found this website which illustrates how small and connected we all are. I hope you will have the time to watch this movie, which I think is a brilliant way of conveying life on our planet.

‘What a piece of work is man!
How noble is reason!
How infinite in faculty!
in form and moving how express and admirable!
in action how like an angel!
in apprehension how like a god!
the beauty of the world!
the paragon of animals!
And yet, to me, what is the quintessence of dust?’
From Hamlet by William Shakespeare
