Sarah Lynn Dawson is a British-American actress, filmmaker, and storyteller whose work bridges cinematic expression with global consciousness. Trained at New York’s Lee Strasberg Institute, with further mentorship through The Actors Studio under Martin Landau and selection for the prestigious BAFTA/LA Newcomers Program, she brings a classically-grounded, emotionally rigorous approach to every role, paired with a distinct gift for narrative innovation.
Born in England, Sarah spent much of her childhood traveling between the UK and Qatar, a cross-cultural upbringing that exposed her to a wide range of worldviews and sparked her passion for performance early on. She discovered her love of acting in community theatre at age seven, going on to headline numerous school productions and taking lead roles in Greek tragedies, where her early fascination with myth and emotional depth first took root.
As an actress, Sarah has built a body of work defined by range and depth. She voiced The Mother in the Academy Award-nominated feature I Lost My Body, and portrayed Emerald in Duality, a short film narrated by Deepak Chopra that she also wrote, which premiered at HollyShorts. She led the 1940s noir Unsolved (which she also produced), bringing a hard-edged, resilient femininity to the role. Most recently, she co-starred in JOIA, a sci-fi conceptual vertical animated short premiering at the 2026 Vertical Movie Festival in Rome, and starred in and executive produced Nexel, which won Best Sci-Fi Short at the Vertical Film Festival and Best Sci-Fi at the LA Punk Film Festival, and was a finalist at the Vertical Movie Festival in Rome, where it premiered.
Beyond the screen, Sarah co-created and stars in Stepping Into Shakespeare, a 23-episode podcast series in which she interviews the makers of famous Shakespeare films and performs revived, soul-centric interpretations of Hamlet and Twelfth Night.
In 2025, Sarah was recognized as a featured artist at the Future of Humanity Exhibition in Davos, Switzerland, spotlighting her contributions to global discourse on human potential, symbolic evolution, and spiritual resilience. She returned as a featured artist at the subsequent Future of Humanity Experience at Art Basel, presenting work from her upcoming sci-fi feature I Am Not a Robot (I.A.N.A.R). Her sci-fi feature Horizon was also submitted to the XPRIZE competition for films depicting a positive sci-fi future.
Rooted in both the poetic and the practical, Sarah’s work, as an actress and storyteller alike, centers on themes of transformation, empowerment, re-enchantment of modern life. She also supports global humanitarian efforts through her advocacy for organizations such as Plan USA.
